Andrea Dooley holds a PhD in Cultural Studies with a Designated Emphasis in African and African American Studies from UC Davis. Her work is concerned with place and public mourning and focuses on issues of genocide memory, post-conflict citizenship, and the politics of place. Her work sits at the intersection of critical theory, social justice and human rights studies, and post-conflict identities. Her current project, under review for Roman & Littlefield, is a manuscript titled Implicated Geographies: The Place of Memory and the Museum in the New Rwanda.
