Josef Jacques is an Oakland based artist and photographer. His current body of work uses photography to explore the history of land use in California by combining historical materials with his photographic work. His work has been shown the University of Chicago, Headlands Center for the Arts, SomArts, Newspace Center for Photography, and Marin MOCA among others. His work was featured in Fraction Magazine and he was a Graduate Fellow at Headlands Center for the Arts.
