Title IX Mission Statement. 

The artistic expression that flourishes from every member of the San Francisco Art Institute, holds a high level of importance to our office, every student is valued as an artist of our community. The commitment of The Title IX coordinators, investigators, mandated reporters and counseling have demonstrated the devotion to be of assistance and a resource to our student population. The essence of our artistic space is nourished through support, community building and accountability.

The San Francisco Art Institute Title IX office is determined to ensure an enriching experience, free from all forms of sexual misconduct. No act of sexual assault, partner violence, stalking, gender discrimination or harassment will be tolerated in our institution. Our mission to the SFAI community is the encouragement of humanity, consciousness and the responsibility to serve artists, faculty and staff while preserving a culture of respect.

As established by Title IX, a civil rights law enacted under the education amendment act of 1972, “No person in the United States shall on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity.” USC 20 Sec. 1681
