History tends to be thought of in terms of progress, in the perspective of a completion that provides meaning for it. History is thought of as transitory, as historical itself, as a linear progression that, within its very structure, alludes to its inevitable ending.
These artists challenge the idea that history has just been a long succession of progress where we have used knowledge to make things better. Instead, they look at history as a fluxus network of information. The plethora of historical content we have access to enables individuals to jump through time and selves seamlessly; history begins functioning more like constructed memory than objective truth.
