Many artists look to the past to find truth in the present. In this exhibition we fill the Diego Rivera Gallery with a focus on drawing. While often seen as preparatory work and underpainting, we want to show that drawings can be finished images. As drawing is one of the oldest forms of communication it speaks to a vast range of audiences. Leaving Marks hopes to spark discussion about the fundamental aspects of drawing as message making. This collection of work highlights the building blocks of image making and what marks we leave behind.
