Opening Reception: Friday, October 18 | 4:30pm
This summer, the artist participated in a residency, Wide Open Studios, with the non-profit organization Signal Fire. Wide Open Studios offers an opportunity to explore a studio practice in dynamic wilderness locations, while continuously reflecting on the natural and cultural histories of the sites. The works in this exhibition bring together various ephemeral materials to document the experience of living, learning, and creating in the backcountry of the Pacific Northwest. The artist aims to ask the question: What does it mean to immerse yourself within an unfamiliar space?
Lived Landscape is a solo exhibition featuring the work of Rebecca Sexton.
