Longing for Anythingi is visually exploring and critically engaging with themes surrounding time on the most fundamental, day to day level. The overarching zeitgeist in our contemporary world seems to exist hand in hand with the mindset that we are always living in the lack of, searching for happiness through a landscape of artificiality, materiality and societal, as well as cultural beauty standards. The artists participating in this exhibition are interested in constructing and deconstructing narratives that embody what it means to be human in today’s consumer driven culture and to navigate our current social and emotional environments while using color as a main entry point into the subconscious.
