Translation means transcribing from one language to another language, while it can also be defined as the process of moving things from one place to another - language is the carrier of information, and therefore other things can be used as a “carrier” as well. However, when translating from one language to another, there’s something that cannot be fully understood, which ends up being a “misinterpretation”.
Extending the idea of “translation” beyond language as 'moving things', we begin to see a schism in how the act of ‘translating’ ideals forms new ways of viewing how we perceive these to be carried. This translation would sometimes make a large gap between the original one and the one being perceived - which would result in misrepresentation.
Assembling different pieces from each artist, we raise questions towards the efficiency of language, technology, what's represented, and how the representation of things are made.
