The bodies of work represented in Of Illogics and Rhythms confront the logical instability of self, place, and memory. The personal identities we assign ourselves, the spaces we inhabit, and our memories are fallible sources. They converge and disintegrate in smooth oscillations like a continuous sine wave. Recognizing this instability isolates us, displaces us, and emphasizes the ephemerality of our memory. The work presented here engages with this instability in an attempt to question, process, or resolve these uncertainties.
